I'm 17 years old and i live in Hsin-Chu county.
You said that you are surprised that "the average African family can consist of 20 people in one house". Actually, that kind of family does exist in Taiwan, and we call them Big Family. In the past, most of Taiwanese are farmers, and they need people to help farming. People think the more children the better because to hire people is too expensive, and children will work for free.
In 1990s, the economy of Taiwan is growing rapidly, so farmer become fewer and fewer.
Now, Big Families are almost disappear.
Well……I do so many things in my free time. I practice magic, play the piano (maybe write a song), play soccer……etc. I seldom watch TV, but I love to watch movies. Also I read some science books (not text books except college books, because I think college's text book are better than senior high school's text book).
Three of my great interests are magic, soccer and biology. I really like to play soccer, but there’s nobody else likes soccer in my class. So my skills of playing soccer are really not good. I think I am good at magic. I’ve learned magic for 2 year. Since the first time I performed magic, I knew I can’t help performing magic, because the feeling of seeing audiences’ form unbelievable emotions on their faces always make me exciting and touched. I’ve forgot that why I love studying biology so much. I am now reading a college textbook named Biology, and when I am reading this book, I just can’t stop to do anything else.
In my school, I have to take Chinese, English, Math, Geography, History, civics, Physics, Biology, PE, Domestic Science, military training……etc. From Monday to Friday, I wake up at 6:30 and I take bus to my school at 6:58 (It takes me about 20 minutes to get to school). My first class starts at 8:00 and each last for 50 minutes. We have 10 minutes between classes to take a rest.We end our classes at 16:00. I only have two selective courses each week, and I chose computer courses.
I will drawing and practice writing calligraphy on weekends. (It's hard to explain what is calligraphy, but you can find it by yuorself)
